The hotel is conveniently located in the town center, very close to the train station for easy travel to Edinburgh. The rooms are in poor general condition with no wardrobe and an uncomfortable bed, but the service is exceptional. The dining options are limited to bread toasts, and the facilities are basic.

The location opposite the railway station was convenient, and the dining experience with fish and chips was satisfactory.
